BRAHMAPUTRA VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE:
Abhijit Bhattacharya, a former captain of the national volleyball team, is the only player from Assam to have played for India. It was his dream of turning the state into a volleyball hotspot.
#Care4Hockey: Bajaj Allianz General Ins. has started Campaign to elevate field Hockey’s recognition in India. Having partnered with Rani Rampal, it aims to support the development of Hockey in India from the grass-root level.
OXFAM TRAILWALKER: India’s Biggest Walkathon for a Cause is a commitment to fitness, and to good for the community good. All the funds raised will help transform the lives of those in need.
HEROES
HIMA DAS:
AKA Dhing Express from Assam. The current Indian national record in 400 meters, she is the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal at the IAAF World U20 Championships. Hima started her journey barefoot and now has her name on the shoes by Adidas.
MANSI JOSHI:
She is the current Para Badminton World Champion. She was listed as the Next Generation Leader 2020 by TIME Magazine. Barbie celebrated Manasi by modelling a one-of-a-kind doll like her.
UDAY DESHPANDE:
Mallakhamb is a traditional Indian sport practiced on a vertical pole or rope. Uday Deshpande has been keeping the sports alive by training youngsters for the last 60 years
